There are plenty of magic items around the place, scattered around in locked safes and chests. The visages typically have around health, depending on difficulty, and they tend to be easy to hit, despite the distant darkness making it harder to hit them somewhat. I've stumbled on a few posts from months ago about this and none seems to have an answer. In the toll house in Act 2 where you fight Gerringothe Thorm, you can find several hints to something existing in the basement of the tollhouse. In this hole you can find several dead bodies, but no significant loot in any of them or in the surrounding area. If you have a party of four, just sit two characters down and leave them there while the other two search the secure room.
